Naturally flawless, glowy skin
Sir John (Beyoncé’s makeup artist) suggests applying a rich, water-based moisturizer to the skin. He says, “while that’s still wet, I’ll use a BeautyBlender to apply foundation all over, because, as the moisturizer dries, it’s adhering to the skin in a really soft, organic way.” After applying all the face makeup, he then mixes highlighting drops with a moisturizer and applies it everywhere except the T-zone. ‘Sandwiching’ the powder between primer and foundation
One sure fire way to have your makeup last all day is by setting primer with a powder before applying foundation. Applying your primer and dusting a lightweight translucent powder locks in a clean look and ensures that the primer won’t disturb your foundation. Read this tip and more on Style Caster
Natural looking brows, layer by layer
The best way to create natural-looking brows ]is to use thin strokes that mimic natural hair. Kim K’s make up artist, Mario Dedivanovic layers a powder over pencil. He recommends that first, you define your brows with a pencil, blend it with a brush, then apply eyebrow powder on top. He says. “Apply the powder in strokes, layering and blending [as you go]. It’s all about layering.” The combination of pencil and powder creates a more hair-like texture than pencil alone. To finish it off, brush through your brows to blend out any harsh lines. Apply, set and blot your lipstick
According to Paula’s Choice Skin Care, layering is key for lips as well as brows! The key to making any lipstick last is to start by lining and filling in your lips with a nude lip liner or even one that matches your lipstick. Then apply a light layer of lipstick, blot the color, and dust a light layer of translucent powder over top. To ensure the lip color won’t budge, repeat the process one or two more times.
